Rain Rain Rain

Slept late today and it was nice.

Last night we went to celebrate the summer closing of our favourite pub. We each had designer beers, I sampled the Thomas Hardy Ale and J had a Jakobite ale. I can only speak for the THA, which was incredibly rich and didn't taste like any beer I've ever had. It was a bit like drinking butterscotch with a kick. It was strong, but the alcohol taste was only a bit biting.

It's known as a rare beer best drunk after it's aged up to 25 years. This bottle only aged about 3 years, but still went down smooth.

I'm one one of those people who prefers domestic light beers over designer beers. I prefer expensive wines over cheap wines, of course, but I prefer watery-tasting beer over heavier beers. I know this is weird, or at the least unsophisticated, but the heavier beers don't do much for me.
